Julia and I have set up this website to chronicle the great new adventures that we've been blessed with, and to stay in contact with you, our many loved ones.
We're so excited for this journey together, but its going to be very difficult to say goodbye to the many people we care about here in Boston, and to move even further away from our families. But with tools like this hopefully it'll take some of the edge off of any home sickness and help make this world a little smaller.
Which brings me to "Why Our World's Fair?"
The answer to that is that we love the old World's Fairs. The World's Fair was a utopian stage for people around the world to share ideas, cultures, and solutions. I believe that the internet really replaced the Expo's best function with people around the world being able to quickly share themselves and information.
And thats what were here to do, but just with a nod to the past.
Hopefully on the website well keep track of our European travels, daily international challenges ("spreken de dutch?"), and maybe some stuff here and there that we just think is cool.
And hopefully every post won't be as dry as this one.
Thanks for visiting and check back soon!
With Love-
J+J
