Antwerp
We went to Antwerp over Easter and didn't expect to fall in love with this city. It almost felt a little like being back in Boston. But I guess when you've been living in a city like Nürnberg any cosmopolitan city feels a bit bigger. While we were there we stayed at a B&B (they called it a "guesthouse) for the first time and it was amazing. The owner was a former airline stewardess and her husband was an architect so the place was amazing and the service was up to par. She was also a wealth of information and gave us a detailed list of what to see and where to shop. It was almost weird paying her when we left because to us she felt more like a friend (we're sure to her we were just another couple). Our friend Christof also gave a huge list of his favorites, as he went to the Royal Academy in Antwerp for a number of years. Some of the things we did while we were there was go to the fashion museum (Antwerp has an famous fashion design school ((The Royal Academy))), walked around their antique district, went to their China town which was actually just a street, had belgium waffles and fries, drank belgium beer, and went to the city zoo. all of it was incredible. Now we're just looking for an excuse to go back.
Heres a few of the photos, shot with our digital and manual Canon.
