Away We Go: Berlin!

Part 2 of our summer catch up!

Away we go...
Back in July we drove up to Berlin to meet up with our old friend Matt who was visiting from Boston. We also managed to hit up the birthday party for the man in charge.
The always stoic Reichstag building...

Jeremy Scott was DJing the mans birthday party. It was a small little place, that was packed with people and was like an oven, but it was better that way.

This dude is a one man show, and Berliners love their currywurst.

But this is what we loved. Hello old friend.

Didnt take a lot of photos, cause Matt doesnt really allow it, but managed to snap this one on the last night. Miss this dude.

The day after Matt left, we rented bikes and rode around the city. This cafe in Mitte had the coolest cups by far.

Stopped in the art park, which is always interesting to see. Has changed a lot since the last time I was there.

We hear you.

We stopped in a flea market and managed to pickup some great finds. One of the best weve been too.

Found a legit Korean spot, and both had a big bowl of Bibimbap, it was goooooooood.

Brandenberg Gate...

This is still our vote for one of the coolest memorials ever. Very well done. Its the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe. Its incredibly impactful, even though the architect, Peter Eisenman said he used no symbology and left the interpretation up to the viewer. Very cool.

All in all it was another amazing adventure to log into our journal. Berlin ranks as one of our most favorite city that we've traveled too. Cant wait to go back!
Check back tomorrow to see where we go next!
Tchüß!

(P.S. I spend a lot of time fixing the resolution and color adjusting these photos, anyone know why they look so crappy on this website?! They get all pixelated and dirty)
